Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada

The Bay of Fundy is sandwiched between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and is known for having the greatest difference in water levels between low and high tide anywhere in the World (almost 50 feet at its most extreme point). From Saint John on the northern side of the Bay, I drove to St. Martins to explore the Fundy Trail only to find it closed. I walked along the Rocky beach at low tide that would be completely covered with water at high tide 6 hours later. Next I drove through Fundy National Park and arrived at Hopewell Cape, with the funky shaped Hopewell Rocks which derives its unique "flower pot" shapes from natural wind, water and weather erosion. I went as the tide was rising but was able to get down to the beach to take some photos before it became immersed in water (signs warned that you can get stranded on the beach if you don't beat the high tide and it was coming in pretty quickly).
