Iguazu Falls - Argentina

January 21, 2006 (Foz do Iguacu, Brazil & Iguazu Falls, Argentina)
Doug and I took a late night flight out to Foz do Iguacu, Brazil and stayed at Bourbon Iguassu Golf Club & Resort closer to the airport. We moved into town the next morning checking into the Mercure Grand Hotel Internacional Foz and arranged for a taxi to take us to Iguazu Falls on the Argentina side. The border crossing was weird as they made us wipe our feet but no visa was required. We spent a good 5 hours hitting the highlights of Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat) where we hiked to the edge of the raging falls. Then we hiked along the Upper Circuit and Lower Circuit trails with spectacular views of the Falls. Iguazu Falls is so much bigger and more impressive than Niagara Falls which I've been to at least a dozen times growing up. At night, we went to the Rafain Churrascaria Show with tasty food while performers from Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay performed cultural dances and entertainment.
