The day started out by moving to the hotel next door, the Luxor Copacabana. The primary reason was phone calls/internet dial-up were ridiculously expensive (US$3 for "toll-free" access, $1/min local calls and $8/min international). I also got a nice Ocean-view room on a high floor overlooking Copacabana Beach for less than a courtyard view at the JW Marriott =) Vanessa and I spent the morning at Sugarloaf (Pao de Açucar) with great views of Rio. Then we hung out a bit on Praia Vermelha Beach and then pigged out at PorCao, a Brazillian Churrascaria. I spent the afternoon hang-gliding off of a cliff called Pedra Bonita and landing on the soft sands of Praia do Pepino. It was an awesome experience and with perfect weather conditions, stayed afloat for 26 minutes with spectacular view of Rio! I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
