Rio de Janeiro I

January 13 - 14, 2006 (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
I flew into Rio after work on Friday night and took a long cab-ride to the Sheraton Barra. It was a very nice hotel but pretty far from the main parts of Rio. I went to Nuth Lounge at 1am to get dinner and check out the nightlife in Barra. The next morning, I had a nice breakfast, went to Barra Beach and then checked out to move to the JW Marriott Copacabana. Then I went to Copacabana Beach and rented a bike to ride around Leblon and Ipanema to see the streets, cafes and beaches. Then at night, I met up with Vanessa who had also made last minute arrangements to Rio and walked around the weekend night markets and dinner at Siri Mole.
