New Years 2002 in NYC
December 31, 2001 - January 1, 2002 (New York, NY)
Josh and I drove a crazy night shift in a completely packed car to get into Manhatten by 8:30am while Alvin froze and complained the whole way. After a quick nap, I met up with Evan, Carrie, Byong and Maria at Gitana's Tapas Bar. Then it was off to Chinatown for a hotpot dinner with Hetty, Kathy, Shirphone, Winchee, Vania, Alvin, Josh, Grace, Dave and Daniel. Next, it was back uptown to Evan's party, a peek at Times Square and winding up the New Year's celebration at VIP Club of NY. Jacky was a bit out of it to put it mildly. The drive back to DC on New Year's Day was ridiculously long with massive traffic congestion, mindless gas station attendants and underpaid disgruntled store clerks.
