8th Annual Ski Trip - Lake Tahoe, CA/NV (Heavenly)

February 28 - March 2, 2003 (South Lake Tahoe, CA/NV)
This year's trip will be at Heavenly Lake Tahoe.  Since many of you are already on the west coast, it won't be quite the new adventure as it usually is, but I'm sure we won't be lacking in ideas on what to do for apres ski activities with the casinos, restaurants and nightlife so close by.  South Lake Tahoe has some of the best views you'll ever see on skis.

Thanks to Anish, who made the reservations and secured the lodge for us!  He's requested an early check-in time of 1pm on Friday for anyone who wants to head up early.  Total cost is $904 which works out to about $33.50/person/night.
Transportation
We won't be needing any rental cars as those in the Bay Area have graciously offered to drive.  I have the following cars thus far:
Driver When Leave Passengers
Anish Friday 8am Holly, Evan, Will
Oie Lian Friday 10am Cindy, Chris, Jody
Sean Friday 4 pm Christine
Shirphone Friday 6pm Howard, Hetty
Tom Friday 9pm
John Saturday 12pm
Lift Tickets and Rentals
We can get $55 lift tickets from the front desk of the lodge, a savings of $4 compared to buying them at the lifts.  Not too sure about costs of rentals but they should be readily available in town or at the base.
Cindy found a better deal.  $49 tickets at Albertsons.  We will coordinate to find volunteers to buy tickets for the entire group.

UPDATES
02/25/03: Cindy found the Albertson's $49 ticket deal and we now have 7:30 dinner reservations on Saturday at Riva Grill on the Lake

02/18/03
: Created this web page and participants page so those who aren't familiar with who's going can get a better sense of who they'll be hanging out with--for better or worse... =)

02/16/03
: Welcome to this year's 8th Annual Ski Trip!  For those that have been a part of these trips in the past, welcome back, and for those who haven't been on these yet, I hope it'll be a lot of fun =)  We have a total of 14 this year which is the 2nd largest trip to date, only surpassed by the '99 Lake Louise/Banff trip where we had 17.

02/09/03: There are 10 of us confirmed with possibly a few more.  Looks like we may not need to rent any cars as there are enough folks going from SF to get everyone out there.

02/01/03: Selection of Lake Tahoe, CA/NV as this year's Ski Trip Destination.  Southwest CO was a serious contender with Telluride and Durango, but airfare out there was too expensive given the short notice.  Same was true for Sun Valley, ID.
